The Witmer family has been coming to me for years to get their annual family photos done, and this year was no exception. This family is one the kindest and most fun families to be around and I look forward to spending time with them every year. They always choose a new, beautiful location to switch things up. This year they suggested to go to a location that I personally never had heard of, let alone been. When I arrived, I was struck by how amazing it was. The pond was absolute perfection, the scenery was stunning, and the icing on the cake... there were ducks. Ducks of every kind, absolutely everywhere. If you know me, if there are animals around I am on cloud nine (feathered critters included). So I knew that this location was going to quickly become a favorite.
The Witmer's had photos in this location once before many, many years ago while their kids were little. And they had one specific photo that they wanted to recreate. (The first photos you see below.) We saved doing that photo last as it was right at the parking lot and the lighting would be best at the end of the session at that specific spot. So, the end of the session came and we got Reese and Reagan in position to grab the photo. I guess that was also the time that all of the ducks decided to get back into the water and photobomb us. So, not only did we get to recreate a timeless and memorable photo, but we also got the bonus of all of ducks in the background. I suppose they wanted their special moment too...
